haha it has really been some time since i last posted on this blog. i had been really busy with work and also blogging on Singaporewalk , another non commercial blog of mine =)
anyway, i was going to work today and i saw something really worth posting and i found it quite amusing as well. i was in the cab turning into Beach Road where my office is, actually i see this senario everyday from my cab but today is excpetionally funny.
It might be due to the drizzle that cause the slight traffic jam, however the flow of the traffic is still relatively fast. My cab stopped at a junction, where on my right is beach road and going straight will be Suntec. The driver asked me, did u realise that the cars are going so fast today even though the floor is so wet? How could i not have realise that.
He pointed to the ERP gantry that stands in the way above the road towards Suntec. haha. the time is 7.59. apparently he set his watch to the same timing as the ERP!he told me in ten seconds, cars rushing arcoss the gantry (not in operation) will not be seen. Lame enough he started counting down and POOF
The words ‘In Operation’ litted and surely enough the traffic suddenly slows down and there are totally ZERO cars going through the gantry. yes zero, all the cars made a sharp turn right into Beach Road which i was heading to. all this happened in the nick of my Red light changing into Green.
haha i was thinking, those who made it across the gantry just seconds before the IU went BEEEP must be like.. ‘ wa lao eh heng ah.’
those pass though the gantry just when it comes to operation, should be like.. ‘k* n* s** suay ah.’
those who cant make it on time and see that stupid 2 words light up should be like.. *wtf damn it la.’
